New Iced Earth CD !!
Released 9-11
Killer stuff, some Gibson pickups, mostly all WCR.
The bulk of the lead guiar melodies were used with a Phoenix Rising
McNaught w/ Godwoods through a Splawn Quick Rod. However there were a
few songs that he did using his LP R7 Goldtop with the Betset.
Rhythm tracks were recorded with Jon's Larry Grohmann Custom amp and a
various selection of his guitars that are mostly fitted with Godwoods
and one with the Moore/Green set. The Les Paul Baritone tracks were
recorded with the Crossroads in the bridge position. That can be heard
on titles such as Motivation of Man, Setian Massacre, When Stars
Collide and the heavy climax of The Clouding.
Install
Note that the chassis legs are the standard vintage 1/2" long. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE ROOM!
Some
guitars come stock with short-legged chassis, but there is usually plenty of room.
Almost ALL boutique
pickup makers use these chassis.
The specs are all approximations, as WCR has found that exact number of winds are far more important
than exact DC resistances.
Even then, they are almost always within + or - .2k. Resistances will vary with different meters, room temperatures, etc.
Return Policy
There are NO returns on SRs or Tele pickups unless they are defective (which is extremely rare). Tone
is a subjective thing and there are plenty of reviews and clips available to study before buying.
Humbuckers can be returned, but you must pay a $100.00 re-furbishing/restocking fee per set, or $50.00
per pickup.
We sound check every pickup right before it goes out the door, Returns OK for defective/non-operational pickups. (extremely rare)
If a pickup has never been used or installed, there will only be a $15.00 shipping & fees recovery charge.
They must be in "As New," or pristine condition if returned as un-used.
WCR pickups hold their value VERY well -- much better than most others.
PLEASE, consider your purchase carefully as we neither give away pickups for your approval nor do we rent them!
By ordering pickups from WCR, you are agreeing to the
above terms.
Sincerely, WCR |
